Sailing Director

Brendan Sailing is seeking an energetic, empathetic and organized individual to be our Sailing Director. Responsible for day-to-day operations on and off the water including program and equipment preparation, student check in, running staff meetings and debriefs, lesson plans following Brendan Approach curriculum, interaction with students and parents.  Participate in hiring, scheduling, managing and evaluating Instructors.  Work with Executive Director to manage expenses.  Meals and housing provided at resident camp (and potentially in Annapolis for day camp). Sailing Instructor After-School

Brendan Sailing is seeking energetic and empathetic sailing instructors for after school program in Washington DC. Our program serves youth (11-18) who have learning differences (learning disabilities, autism spectrum, ADHD, etc.) The position requires strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. US Sailing Certification will be reimbursed. Hours are 3:30-6:00pm Tues/Thurs from Mid-April to Early June.

$19-$25 per hour​​

Summer Camp Instructor

Brendan Sailing is seeking energetic and empathetic sailing instructors for our summer camps.   Our program serves youth (11-18) who have learning differences (learning disabilities, autism spectrum, ADHD, etc.) The position requires strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Utilize the Brendan Approach in the instruction of sailing.  Build self-confidence with campers and emphasize water safety and fun while gaining the knowledge and skills to sail dinghies.   Must be US Sailing Level 1 certified (we will cover the cost of certification) Mid-June to July 14th.  8:30-4:30 Mon-Fri in Annapolis.  July 16-July 29, resident camp at St Mary’s College of Maryland. Meals and housing provided at resident camp.

$19-$25 per hour​

Assistant Instructor

Brendan Sailing is seeking energetic and empathetic new sailing instructors for our summer camps.   Our program serves youth (11-18) who have learning differences (learning disabilities, autism spectrum, ADHD, etc.) The position requires strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. Utilize the Brendan Approach in the instruction of sailing.  Build self-confidence with campers and emphasize water safety and fun while gaining the knowledge and skills to sail dinghies.  US Sailing Level 1 or Sailing Counselor required. (Sailing Counselor course provided with staff training) Mid-June to July 14th.  8:30-4:30 Mon-Fri in Annapolis.  July 16-July 29, resident camp at St Mary’s College of Maryland.  Meals and housing provided at resident camp.

Camp Counselor

Brendan Sailing is seeking energetic and empathetic individuals to assist with our resident camp at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.   Responsible for supervision of campers off the water and planning and running of evening activities.  Experience in special education is a plus.  July 16-July 29.  Meals and Housing provided.  Possible travel expense reimbursement.
