About our Annapolis Sessions

Day Camp Sessions
Monday-Friday 9:00-4:00
Ages: 11-18 years old

For over 35 years, Annapolis, Maryland has been the primary home for Brendan Sailing. Throughout this time, hundreds of campers have participated in our Annapolis Sessions, which has contributed to a foundation of building confidence and social skills through sailing.

Our Annapolis beach-based program is led by US Sailing certified instructors who work with individual students to discover their individual learning style. The Brendan Sailing Curriculum covers an introduction to the sport of sailing including the parts of the boat, maneuvers, navigation, and the Rules of the Road that follows the National On-Water Standards. Our instructors use a hands-on approach to teach sailing and seamanship, with emphasis on building confidence and developing basic sailing skills. On the final day of all sessions, parents are invited to see the skills they have acquired by joining their camper for a sail on the last day of the session.

No prior sailing or boating experience is necessary to participate in either our Day or Overnight Sessions. Brendan Sailing proudly serves youth with learning differences, including those with Level 1 Autism Spectrum Disorder (requiring minimal support). While we are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment, our staff are not medically trained and our program is not equipped to provide the level of care required for individuals who need more intensive support.
